It’s that time of year again. As I’m beginning this blog post it is actually snowing here in Westbrook, Maine, and it is a pretty but somewhat aggressive reminder that the holidays are sneaking up quickly.
As we move closer to December, we at North Spore are here to help you find the perfect unique gift for that special outdoorsperson, cook, indoor plant-lover, gardener, health-enthusiast, DIY-enthusiast, or good-old fashioned mushroom lover in your life. Stumped? Look no further!
We have just redesigned four of our easiest and most popular Spray-and-Grow Kits. Simply cut open the box and underlying bag, spray daily with the included spray bottle, and presto! Edible mushrooms within a couple weeks! Lion’s Mane, and Blue, Pink, and Golden Oyster mushrooms offer colorful, textural, and delicious healthiness to any cook’s culinary palette. Mushrooms are vegetarian and vegan and offer lots of protein, antioxidants, and other health benefits. These kits literally bring nature indoors and are easier to care for than most house plants, but will still make any plant-nurturer happy and proud when they flourish!

Hi happy holidays. The Lions mane kit I just purchased on day two of watering had become what appears to be moldy. I’ve done this a few times now and have had good success but this time however it’s noticeable that something is wrong.
In addition to that I had a question regarding the Lions mane ive had success with, sometimes I notice a sudden browning of the fruit body before it’s finished. The last one I did got to about the size of a soft ball didn’t develop teeth yet but started to suddenly brown and yellow. Any tips is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
