Hirse ist ein ideales Getreide für die Pilzzucht und kann zur Herstellung von Pilzbrut oder als Substratzusatz verwendet werden. Hirse hat eine viel geringere Endosporenlast als Roggen und Weizen, wodurch sie weniger anfällig für Kontaminationen ist. Und ihre geringe Größe bedeutet, dass Ihre Brut bei gleichem Getreidevolumen viel mehr Inokulationspunkte aufweist.

Durch die Verwendung von Hirse breitet sich das Myzel gleichmäßiger und reichlicher im Substrat aus. Und als nährstoffreiches Medium fördert es auch eine schnelle Myzelentwicklung.

Lagerung:

Hirse sollte am besten an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort gelagert werden. Da die Körner leicht Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen können, empfehlen wir die Lagerung in luftdichten Behältern, die für Lebensmittel geeignet sind.

Awesome Grain

First off the grain is clean and consistent. Secondly the mushrooms LOVE it so much and colonized it so fast I thought it was mold at first lol. Third $1.5 per pound is a steal at least from what I can get locally, so I’m using it for cooking too!
