Cette cire de paraffine de qualité alimentaire est idéale pour sceller les trous dans les billes de bois inoculées. Une livre de cire est suffisante pour sceller environ 10 billes, avec une certaine variabilité selon la taille des billes et si vous choisissez de sceller les extrémités. (Le scellement des trous est essentiel au succès car il protège le mycélium du dessèchement et de la contamination.)

I used the double boiler method as instructed with low heat. It melted completely and fast. It covered all one-hundred shiitake plugs, the log ends, and a few cutoff branch sites, as well. I didn't even use half of the bag! All around win.

Easy-to-use wax granules

Low-Melting Point Wax works great

It comes in small pelletized form, so you can quickly pour out the amount you need, followed by easy melting in a double-boiler or slow cooker. Great for covering plugs and the ends of freshly-innoculated logs.
