I use these things everytime with my grain bags. No need for taping the bag, the holes from a syringe will close itself.

They work great

You can stick them to the bag and then pressure cook the bag and they stay stuck on and they’re definitely self healing. You inject you pull the needle out. It’s hard to tell where the needle even was.
