Frequently Asked Questions
How do you ship your products?
We ship our products through USPS and FedEx. You can see shipping prices and select your preferred carrier at checkout.
How quickly will my order be processed and packed?
It takes us an average of 2-3 business days to put together your order. If you need an order shipped immediately, call us at 207-854-3500.
When are your packages picked up from your facility?
Carriers come to our facility to pick up packages every weekday. USPS picks up before 10 am and FedEx picks up around 3pm. Keep these times in mind when you're selecting your shipping service if your order is time sensitive.
How can I ensure my spawn order doesn't get stuck in the mail over the weekend?
Our best recommendation is to choose a shipping method that delivers your package before the weekend. If you want to be sure, you can leave a note on your order to send it out on the following Monday. Otherwise, we will ship 2-3 days after you place your order.
Will selecting FedEx Home Delivery guarantee my order arrives in two days?
Not quite. FedEx does not do Home Delivery on Sunday or Monday. Also, packages must be picked up by FedEx before Noon for two day delivery. Our FedEx carrier arrives at our facility in the afternoon so two day shipping would begin the next day. Therefore, if you place an order Thursday evening for Home Delivery and FedEx picks it up Friday afternoon, your order will not arrive until Tuesday.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship internationally using USPS Priority Mail International or USPS First Class Mail International. You may be required to pay an import fee/tax upon delivery. Check with your carrier of choice and customs department.
Do you pack orders on the weekend?
No, our office is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
Can you keep spawn cool while shipping in the summer?
We only ship spawn with ice packs and in insulated shippers to commercial spawn customers. The cost for insulated shippers is $14 and the cost of shipping goes up slightly because of the added weight of the ice packs but we have found it is still more economical than any type of expedited shipping.
