Our best-selling Boomr Bag is a sterile manure-based bulk mushroom substrate formulated by mycologists to increase the yield of your grow. Over several years, the recipe has been perfected for dung-loving mushroom species and is widely-trusted by mushroom growers.

Take your mushroom grow to the next level with our beginner-friendly Automated Boomr Bin Mushroom Monotub System. This self-contained, fully automated mushroom fruiting and incubation chamber gives you optimal control of humidity, CO2 levels, fresh air exchange, and spore filtration. And it's ideal for all skill levels, whether you're new to monotubs or a seasoned grower.

Automated system includes:

  • (1) Boomr Bin Monotub
  • (1) FAE Fan Mini w/ Power Control
  • (1) Myco-Mister Mini Humidifier
  • (1) Humidifier Connector
  • (1) Humidity Controller (Humidistat)
  • (1) Sheet of 2" monotub filters
  • (1) Sheet of 1" monotub filters
  • (2) Boomr Bag Sterile Manure-Based Substrate (5 lbs each)

Colonization:
During the colonization period, cover all monotub holes with self-adhesive filters to protect against contaminants, like foreign spores and bacteria, and promote even gas exchange.

Fruiting:

  • Once monotub is fully colonized, remove (2) self-adhesive filters on one end of lid to hook up the FAE Fan Mini and Myco-Mister Mini Humidifier + controls.
  • On the opposite side of side of the lid, cut a one-inch slice into the 2" filter and slide the humidistat probe inside (see photos).
  • These additions will allow you to optimize fresh air exchange, CO2 levels, and humidity levels for the specific species you are growing.

Boomr Bin features:

  • Food-grade materials FDA-approved for contact with consumables.
  • Compact durable design holds up to 25 pounds of substrate.
  • Latches attached to base to prevent lid from popping off when picking up.

  • Large rounded corners for easy cleaning and fewer places for contaminants to hide.
  • Row of 1” holes placed lower in the lid to prevent fuzzy stems.
  • Black light-blocking base helps colonization and aids in preventing side pinning.
  • Modular design accepts automated fresh air and humidity systems

Package was poorly packaged and not handled with care. Upon opening the bigger box and taking out the box the unit is in was badly damaged. Hopefully the product is unharmed and it will work properly. I'll more than likely start using a different company. You would think if you're spending this much money they would be on top of handling with care.

The product works great but does not come fully “automated.” They don’t include the timer switch for the FAE fan to turn on and off automatically so you still have to go and run that yourself. They sell the switch for an extra $25. Be prepared to spend the extra for what you think you are already getting.

Shipped quickly! Back in the day I’ve crafted many a tub. I was curious about how far innovations in technology have come and I’m pleasantly surprised. Idiot proof with very clear instructions. Someone gave me pre-inoculated grain and I was ready to go. If your brand new or just want to get a flush going fast, I highly recommend the automated Boomr Bin.

Well worth getting the Automation

North Spore hasn’t disappointed yet. Fast shipping and great customer service. The automated monotub is the perfect size and is built with quality. I particularly like the humidifier and the hydrometer feature. You can set it for the perfect humidity range for the type of mushroom you are growing. Takes much of the guess work out. The easy route to make magic.
