Sawdust Spawn Log Inoculation Trio of Tools

This made my life so much easier. Do yourself a favor, use sawdust spawn!

These tools on an angle grinder made log innoculation an enjoyable experience rather than frustrating! Highly highly recommend getting a corded angle grinder vs a battery powered one. I initially got a battery powered one (and not a cheap one by the way) and it just didn't have the consistant power that a corded one can provide. The battery powered one kept getting stuck (battery was fully charged) and I had to pry the tools out of the log and in turn kind of destroyed parts of the log. Once I switched to a corded one I had no issues. Very fun project, will probably innoculate more logs next spring!

These tools worked great for my log project. Designed for the job, and I imagine without them I could have gotten pretty frustrated.

Getting this set is the way to go when you get started. The angle grinder attachment makes the job go by so much faster, and the stopper on the drill bit gives you precision every time.

Personally I dont like the thumb release inoculator tool, I prefer the palm press ones---but its good to try other models out!

I used to try to put sawdust spawn in with a funnel and dowel rod, but this kit makes it super fast. Although I hate to spend money on a gadget for every task, I think this will increase my mushroom production with little extra effort.

The right tools make a job go a lot smoother. The drill bit just eats into the wood and the inoculation tool works smoothly. Since this is my first foray into mushrooms I was hesitant to get the set, but I'm glad I did.

I love the tool - works exactly as you’d expect. I found that “double tapping” worked best for me to get a good compact spore injection into logs.

This is the easiest and fastest way to inoculate logs if you own an angle grinder! Makes fast work of logs and easy enough that I’ve had 8th grade students drilling holes!

This set is a must have for innoculating any larger quantity of logs. With the right angle drill attachment and bit you can drill the holes as fast as you can possibly move from spot to spot. Way better than a normal drill and drill bit setup. The inoculation is what takes a while, so if you are able to get an extra set of hands to help you I highly suggest ordering an extra inoculation tool to go along with the set. This way you both have one. I've done close to 100 logs in the past two years with this set and have had zero issues.

Log inoculation tool, angle grinder adapter, and drill bit are all stainless steel. Inoculation tool is made in USA with a stiff plastic handle, easily fully cleanable, and will not rust/discolor compared to brass. Machinist recommended; admittedly researched/asked for alternatives.

I did 1000 plugs last year with a drill, this year bought this set, WOW what a difference, angle grinder is so fast it's scary. Inoculation tool works great, saving money on spawn also, it's all good. I bought a Ryobi 18 volt angle grinder, it did not have enough power, had to return it, a 7amp electric grinder is all the power you need.

Really happy with this set. I can inoculate a bunch of logs super quick. Very straight-forward to use.

These trio allowed us to drill and inoculate more logs in much less time. Now I feel like we will be able to really get ‘shrooming! The tools will be used primarily for a school project and they are of very high quality materials and will no doubt be able to use for years and rears.

I'm so happy I invested in these tools. Drilling with the angle grinder was so smooth and easy. The quality of the adapter, drill bit, and inoculation tool is top notch. We inoculated about a dozen Stiitake logs and and still have sawdust spawn left over. I will also say when we called in for a few question you guys were very helpful. My son is getting into this for a school project and we are already looking for the next batch of logs. Great Product!!

I've only drilled a few holes to test the angle grinder adapter and bit and have to say I'm really impressed with how well everything works.

We innoculated 50 logs, and once you're going above 10 logs I think you might regret not having these tools! It makes the process much more enjoyable and relaxed.
Our order was missing one of the tools, and Northspore promptly refunded us. Will be buying more spore next summer!

This tool set made log inoculation a breeze. When you have these tools, all you need next is some sawdust spawn and food grade wax! This is way too easy :)
