Organic Shiitaké Mushroom Fruiting Block
🌱 The Variety
Shiitake mushrooms have been known in Asia for over 7,000 years and are often called the "fragrant mushroom." Rich in vitamins (particularly D and B vitamins) and minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, and selenium, they offer numerous benefits.
🎨 Shiitake mushrooms are distinguished by their flat caps, which range in color from light brown to dark brown. Their flesh is firm yet tender, and depending on the cooking method, they develop woody, earthy flavors with nutty notes. The caps typically measure between 3 and 6 cm.

The substrate has been incubated for approximately 75 days, allowing the mycelium to break down and absorb the nutrients needed for optimal production. This shiitake variety produces most of its mushrooms during the first flush (7 to 10 days). Our kits are among the most productive on the market.
Notes: Harvest estimates are based on our experience but are not guaranteed. Productivity depends on growing conditions and the grower's experience.
Our Quality Commitment:
We produce our mycelium under laboratory conditions to ensure strain purity and optimal quality.
Our mycelium is produced using 100% organic methods, and all our products are certified "BE-BIO-01, Agriculture Belgium" by CERTISYS.

🌿 Where to Grow?
Shiitake mushrooms can be grown indoors (kitchen, garage, or basement). They need indirect light and humidity levels between 80% and 90%. Avoid drafts, radiators, and direct sunlight to prevent the block from drying out. To increase humidity, mist or water the block 1 to 2 times per day. Cover the block with perforated clear plastic to maintain humidity while allowing airflow.
🍄 Harvesting and Storage
Harvest between 500 g and 1 kg of fresh mushrooms over 1 to 2 flushes. After the first flush, allow the substrate to dry for 1 to 2 weeks, then soak it overnight in water before placing it back on a plate under the growing tent. Most mushrooms are produced during the first flush, but you may get additional flushes before composting the substrate.
Shiitake mushrooms can be stored in a paper bag in the refrigerator for approximately 2 weeks. For longer storage, they can be dried, frozen, or preserved in jars.
