Amazing as always fast delivery great blocks!!

I received a large order that arrived on time and in excellent condition. There was actually a mushroom already starting to grow out of the filter on the bag! So there is no doubt about the quality of these products. I will review all four mushroom varieties I am growing here in central NC in the months to come.

This makes an excellent alternative to the grain spawn, which was unavailable. It should work well, just requiring some amendment from a good nitrogen source like sterilized wheat berries or bran. Don't be discouraged by the whispy-looking mycelium on arrival; this species just appears to colonize very lightly. Before long, it will seem to fruit out of nowhere. I will be using this for making totems on birch and fruiting blocks. Lion's Mane is a gnarly-looking mushroom and mighty tasty; you won't be disappointed when these grow.

I peaked under the bags on the four totems I created just two weeks ago and, I found small fruiting bodies about 11/2 inches across, maximum, already forming at the base of the totems! I was pleasantly surprised at that! They were growing from the bottom of the totem on the cardboard! Our weather has been superb the last two weeks , being low fifties at night and high sixties/ low seventies F. by day. We have had several light rains. I am super happy and energized about the future crops I hope to harvest and will be starting more operations soon. In fact I will be starting a couple beds for oyster varieties this week, as soon as my new order arrives! Thanks North spore for the healthy sawdust spawn and the tutorials/videos!

I received the sawdust spawn packaged well and with clear instructions included. The bag contained mycelium growing in the sawdust. I expect to harvest Lion's Mane mushrooms in the future from the four totems I created.

My Lion's Mane sawdust spawn came extremely quickly and was very safely packaged. The block was already colonized with mycelium and was actually growing lion's mane already! I broke up the block into much smaller bags and cut holes in each of the bags before suspending them in a humid chamber to grow them for my own personal use. I was thinking of attempting a monotub approach but am not brave enough to try and grow lions mane this way. I will absolutely order from north spore again!

I inoculated a totem log on June 26 and on July 3 it began fruiting from the sawdust! The photo shown was taken on July 7. I'm sure this flush will be small due to the log not being colonized yet. I put a nice thick layer in each totem cut so I'm sure that helped. But I've been more than satisfied by the customer service and high-quality spawn so far.

I ordered two bags and received them promptly in good condition. I've started several Big Leaf Maple totems out here in the Pacific Northwest, and am excited for future mushroom growth! Used the North Spore inoculation tool with Reishi sawdust spawn on alder logs last year, just about time to bury those logs. I'm looking forward to Reishi and Lion's Mane in my future! Great and clear instructions, good materials, can't wait for my logs to start fruiting but patience is the ticket here.

We received our lions mane spawn in spring 2020, inoculated in late April totem style on both sugar maple and ailanthus. We had our first fruits in mid-June, first on the maple then on the ailanthus. We didn’t have too much production in the fall, but look forward to more this spring as we see plenty of mycelium. My pre-school age daughter loves Lions Mane, they are her favorite wild mushroom and we loved starting to grow our own.

My experience with the lions mane was great. I added it to 10 other sawdust bags and they all done excellent. Will buy again.

Used totem method on laurel oak ~12-16" logs during February in north central Florida. Set on card board and covered with paper yard waste bags and placed in shady spot. Uncovered bags one month later and found two small fruits almost golf ball size! Kids were super excited. Gold oysters also seem to be taking well in the straw bed.

I purchased the lion’s mane spawn in the fall and inoculated big leaf maple logs using the totem method in trash bags. The spawn was quick to arrive and the instructions that came with it were clear. A month ago I already noticed small fruiting bodies on the logs and good mycelium colonization. I’m very happy with this spawn and already ordered more!

I have been a wild mushroom forager for many years. Cultivating mushrooms has always intrigued me. This year, I finally bought some Lions Mane sawdust spawn (as well as oyster spawn) from North Spore, and inoculated some totems. I did the inoculation in August, and had some quarter and golf ball sized mushrooms within 6 weeks! I am looking forward to see how they produce this coming growing season!

I have been growing Lion's Mane for its health properties. My wife has diabetes and research has shown it may be helpful--among the other benefits for cognitive function.
North Spore has been amazing in service. Even when they say there will be a delay, there is not and they always ship FAST (like normal) and with excellent communication. Always better to under-promise and over-deliver!
Also, their spray and grow kits have been very productive, producing many flushes. I am a big fan and have been more recently using the sawdust spawn to inoculate totem logs and their hardware to inoculate shiitake logs. They are my definite go to for mushroom growing products and I will always be back!

I inoculated several logs and got a huge flush! The fruits were tasty and if I had more logs I'd do it again.

I've bought this 2 times (3 counting today :) ). Really strong and tasty strain, usually fully ran through sawdust & bran substrate in 14-18 days. So strong I chopped a big in half, shipped it to a friend. Covered the cut - it produced for a few more weeks.Then I threw the half on my "wood and sticks" compost pile outside - silly things kept producing even after 90f heat. Albeit, on the shady side of the pile.
