Our spring-loaded thumb press log inoculation tool is ideal for injecting sawdust spawn into holes drilled on logs. The ribbed anti-slip handle decreases friction that causes blistering, and the single-hand use design allows the other hand to steady the log during inoculation. With regular cleaning and proper storage, it should last for many years. (Scroll down for care instructions.)

Caring for your inoculation tool:
Sawdust spawn residue can build up in your tool, making it feel sticky or causing the plunger to freeze. If this happens, soak in hot soapy water for 30 minutes, then push down on the head of the tool to loosen any debris.
Periodically check the head of the tool to make sure it is not coming unscrewed. The tool can be tightened by using a large flat head screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver into the groove on the tip, hold onto the head and lightly twist the screwdriver until tight.

Plunge away!
Y’all, this tool is amazing! Paired with the drill Bit that’s literally made to fit this puppy right into the notch, an unbeatable combo! This made my sawdust inoculation so much quicker. It’s super sturdy and very comfortable to hold. I have big hands and didn’t cramp from gripping for prolonged time. Super quality stuff!

Worked better than expected
After looking around for an inoculation tool one a lot of different websites this caught my attention as looking the best built. Shipping was fast and when it got here it was put right to use. After 300 bolts done it still runs super smooth, easily depresses and is comfortable in your hand. After 100 bolts I decided to order another one to up production and it also hasn't disappointed one bit. This is worth the couple extra bucks from a cheaper version somewhere else, after inoculating for 4 hours no hand paint or blisters. Also, picked up the angle grinder attachment for drilling and it is seriously amazing. 11/10

United StatesMade the process easy!!
During my first test run, I was very surprised at how easy this tool was to use, and how fast I was able to inoculate some logs. I have a ton of logs to do, and was afraid it would take me several days, in the cold. Thanks to the tool, I know I can breeze through it faster than expected. Now I need to get a 2nd one for my wife, so she can help, lol.
