Job Title: Seasonal Product Prep Specialist
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18/hr with a $2.50/hr shift differential increase for the Saturday and Sunday work
About the Role:
North Spore is seeking seasonal (February 1 - May 15) full-time assistants who will work on our product prep team to help with process and packaging, quality checking, restocking and organizing of our in-house manufactured products as well as outsourced goods. The Product Prep Specialist will work within the dynamic Product Prep team, assisting with all prep tasks. Our new, state-of-the-art mushroom cultivation supply and manufacturing facility is located in Portland, Maine. You must be comfortable both working independently and in a team setting.
The job includes a lot of repetitive manual labor, lifting up to 50 lbs, getting sawdust, grain, and manure on your shoes - great for those familiar with the pleasures of agricultural work or those with previous manufacturing experience!
We all work hard all day but we also like to have fun, listen to good music, keep clever company, and get stuff done. Pay starts at $18/hr with a $2.50/hr shift differential increase for the Saturday and Sunday work. Due to this being a temporary position, benefits will not be offered aside from PTO.
The shift would be either:
Thursday - Sunday, 7AM - 5:30PM
or
Saturday - Tuesday 7AM - 5:30PM
Either schedule would work and the applicant can pick whichever works best for their schedule.
Minimum qualifications:
Must be able to repetitively and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work on feet for whole shift (10 hrs)
Must be able to meet productivity standards for every process they engage in as set by the department supervisor, while still meeting our quality standards
