Our friend, Turnip Vegan, renowned chef and cookbook author, for several years now has been growing his own mushrooms at home using our BoomRoom II grow tent in conjuction with our mushroom grow kits and spawn. He then uses his homegrown mushrooms to craft creative, cruelty-free, health-concious recipes to share with us. Below is his Buffalo Mushroom Sliders recipe with homegrown Snow Oyster mushrooms!
Buffalo Mushroom Sliders Recipe

Cook Time: 10 - 15 minutes
Servings: 4 - 5
Mushroom Sliders Ingredients
• Oyster mushrooms
• 1 Tbsp stone ground mustard or mustard
• 2 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp mustard powder (optional)
Sauce
• 1 cup buffalo sauce
• 1 tsp of tapioca flour (optional for thicker sauce)
Wet Batter
• 1 cup of flour
• 1/2 cup of arrowroot or cornstarch
• 1 tsp of onion powder
• 1 tsp of garlic powder
Dry Batter
• 1 cup of flour
• 1 cup of panko
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp of garlic powder
• Salt to taste
Additional Ingrediants
• 1 pack of plant-based rolls
• Ribboned or sliced cucumbers
• Dill pickles
• Sliced sweet peppers
• Vegan ranch or sauce of choice
Step 1: Prepare the mushrooms and remove the stems. Add them to a bowl and massage the mustard, garlic, and onion powder into them. Move to the side.
Step 2: Create wet and dry batter. Add mushrooms to wet and dry batter; fry or air fry.
Step 3: Add 1 tbsp of water to tapioca flour and mix. Add buffalo sauce and tapioca slurry to a saucepan mix and cook on low for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Do not overcook. Toss mushrooms in sauce.
Step 4: Cook fries and build sliders with pickles, sweet peppers, mushrooms, ranch, and cucumbers on rolls. Enjoy!

Cranberry Glaze
• 1/4 cup of brown sugar
• 3 Tbsp of mustard
• 1-2 tsp of liquid smoke
• 1/2 cup of liquid amino
• 1/2 cup of fresh cranberries
• 1/4 cup of water
