Fast shipping

Zeer tevreden met de werking en uitvoering van deze kweekkast. Ook snelle levering.

Even though this tub is 'automated', it's still a cumbersome apparatus that is very finicky. On several occasions I would check on the tub and find the humidity drop from 90+% down to mid 60's and everything is hooked up correctly and running. The hose has to be bent a certain way or else the humidity won't reach the tub and the dial on humidifier is a joke. I can never tell if I'm giving it too much or too little humidity. It seems to want to go off on its own even when it's below my preset humidity range. Cleaning everything is also not easy and you can't get to most of the area to properly clean. I would think twice before getting this, and am not overly fond of this set up.

Everything came as working

The tub itself is nice and sturdy. I've bought 2 of the automated setup a couple years apart. In both batches, the north spore sticker on the fan, if placing the fan on the tub with the sticker facing outwards, has the air flow blowing into the tub, instead of out. All of the product images across north spore showcase this configuration, so I was incorrectly blowing air into my tub before switching it around to use it as an exhaust fan instead. The filter patches you buy in my experience are too thick/dense for the fruiting stage. I was not getting enough fresh air into the tub, but replacing the filter patches with micropore tape fixed the air exchange issue for me. Lastly, I had to replace the hygrometer it came with, with another brand for better accuracy (inkbird). I wish the automated setup also came with a repeat cycle intermittent timer for the fan control, as I had to buy that separately. Overall, I rely on north spore for all my grain and substrate needs, and used this automated tub setup as the catalyst for my growing, with some modifications.

hydrometer is not super accurate, but mister and fan work great!!

I really like this automated growing tub!
The fact that you can set it up and leave it until you have complete fruits is amazing.
I use 1/2 pint BRF cakes and I've been getting strong continuous flushes since then. I use them rather than inoculating dung because it's less waste and less probability of foreign contamination.
Although, I have a few gripes:
First of all, the tubing on the humidifier SUCKS!
Whenever I have to open the lid to the tub for maintenance or cleaning, the tubing falls out of the ports. I've resorted to using a whole bunch of white plumber's tape, and it still fails.
Meaning my humidifier's water canister may lose half its water in a day, if it comes loose, if I don't check both ends of the tube constantly.
It would be better if they had a silicone tip on both ends of the tubing that would stick in the ports reliably.
Also, I spritz my fungi twice daily to simulate rain-fall, they LOVE it, twice as large blooms as compared to the humidifier alone.
The problem is, the humidity stays at near 99% and the humidifier is set to 95%-99%. Which means that the humidifier won't kick on as often (and thusly will greatly reduce fresh air-flow).
The included fan in the kit helps, but it's too strong when kept on continuously; making the humidifier to stay on as well (to keep it around 95-99%) and depleting the water reservoir within a couple days.
If you daisy-chain multiple tubs together, I can see this working well, though.
I found a work around with a Digital Repeat Cycle Timer for the fan, which can be set to 30 seconds every 30 minutes which will flush out any lingering CO2 in the tub from the fruits breathing.
The intermittent fresh air greatly conserves the water supply of the humidifier, rather than having the fan running all the time.
Tip: If you find mycelium fuzz at the base of your stems, it's time to increase fresh air-flow.
Over-all, it's a wonderful system. It works well with warm-temperature mushrooms and cold-temperature mushrooms (think Lion's Mane or Oysters).
Easy to clean after spores drop, with a light bleach solution, (rounded corners) and when set up well, you can leave for a 3-day weekend and come back with a full flush!
Good purchase overall, just needs a couple updates.

the delivery was okay. Just refrigerated it was on a hot truck. hope mushrooms okay

I had such a great experience with the first bin I received as an anniversary present, that I got a second bin! Now I can have one bin with mushrooms at primordial stage or on a slower 2nd or 3rd flush, and another bin ready to harvest.

North Spore is hands down one of the most incredible companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The level of quality, care, and dedication you put into everything you do is truly unmatched. Thank you for making my experience so phenomenal and for being a company that genuinely cares about its customers!

I used to spend so much time manually caring for my mushrooms, but this automated Boomr Bin made switching from manual misting and fanning a game-changer—it handles everything perfectly, and I couldn't recommend it more highly! It's a fantastic addition to any grower's space." I just love my Boomr Bin!!!

I enjoy the automated feature. No need to open the lid more than one has to and risk contamination. Simply operate the the climate conditions from the controllers.

Non-functional garbage.
