Organic Golden Oyster ‘Spray & Grow’ Mushroom Growing Kit

It was so cool. After purchasing golden oyster, I decided to try a bucket method. I used the spray kit to inoculate the straw I the buckets. It took some time, but it worked! I love your company and thank you so much.

I was successful in my first crop of golden shiitake mushrooms in the box but I am so happy that I then planted the contents of the box into a planter on my covered screened porch and they are just now pinning there. Gee, maybe I’ll have my own mushroom farm. I would submit pictures but I don’t see how to do that. I live in Florida and I am hoping for great things since our weather will favor the mushroom growth year round. My purchase was so worth it.

Every spray and grow box has been amazing Super easy. Fascinating to watch. So delicious. Just do it. Seriously.

So amazing and fast! Have bought many products in the past for outdoor grows but never for indoor. Grew super fast even after I forgot it for 6 months it busted thru the bag and began to grow in dormancy when I finally opened it and I thought it was trash but look at it now! It chose life! First flush, hopefully one or 2 more.

I received this kit for Father's Day as my wife knew I've been interested in growing these for a long time. I've been a fan of North Spore's YouTube channel for some time so it was fun to finally have the kit here in person. The packaging, presentation and instructions are really well done. The daily maintenance is simple and it's a nice ritual to check in a few times a day and see how it's going.

Unfortunately, my first flush was nowhere near the size I see in pics or other reviews. I would estimate it was about 20% of what others are getting. We were able to get 1 very small side dish for dinner out of it. On the bright side, it was delicious! We followed the recipe they recommend, with butter, garlic, rosemary and thyme.

I would have really liked to have a bigger yield to try some other recipes. I don't know if it was my growing conditions or if I did something wrong. Hopefully there's a second, bigger flush coming! 🤞

Worked like it was supposed to and I just cut my second bloom. The first was about 1.2 lbs and the second was a bit less. I cooked the first bloom with some garlic and onion and served it with a hunk of beef. Magnafique! I'm getting ready to order a second kit.

All these grow kits are a great way to get started in the hobby. Do yourself a favor and grab one (or a few) and get started. This is the best way to get your foot in the door of an amazing hobby. And, if you decide to keep going within your mycological journey, this is a simple way to grow a few and then let a couple go to spore for collection for later.

I received this kit as a gift. Put it next to the kitchen sink as suggested. Spritzed everyday and in less than a week it exploded with golden oyster mushrooms. Will harvest and let it grow again. Good science lesson for homeschoolers. Would highly recommend.

This kit is great. It was easy to start, began growing in about a week, and it's fun to watch. I don't think it will be long until I cut it, and eat it. Thank you!

I love this kit. It took several weeks for it to decide to do something, but then it didn’t waste any time at all. Within a week I have a huge flush that I plan on harvesting some of it today and cooking for the football party we’re having today to watch the Arizona State game. There are so many small pins throughout and underneath that I decided to try to just cut off the mature ones and see if the others will continue to grow. That’s one of the fun things. I love about these kits, you can experiment a little bit. It was so much fun to watch a teeny tiny little nubbin, like the size of the head of a pin grow into this big beautiful cluster in a week. I swear every time I walked past it, it was bigger. So much fun. Can’t wait to taste it.

This kit, although they’ve all been great, is by far my favorite. I started seeing pins the day after I scored the Plastic and misted it. Within a week they were huge and ready to be harvested. I cooked them up with a little smoked paprika and served them with Christmas dinner. They tasted very much like bacon and everybody loved them. I soaked the block in water, let it drain and set it out and in less than a week, I have got more pins that I could possibly count. What an impressive producer and so delicious! If you wanna try a prolific and delicious mushroom for your first time, go with this one! I’m including a picture of my first harvest, and the new pins that have popped up, again in less than a week! Very impressive!

Excellent. Shipped to FL as a gift for my 11 year old mushroom loving granddaughter. The kit grew as promised and has amazed her and her family. She made mushroom scrambled eggs.

They shipped fast. Upon receiving it I examined the package by opening it and removing the substrate. The ‘cake’ was NOT fully colonized. I contacted them and they said that it might look less than optimal, I should be patient and it would produce mushrooms.

While allowing the bag to sit and reacclimatize to my home due to shipping movement I noticed mold development. I contacted them again but so far haven’t received a response. We shall see how it goes once I get a reply.

The spray and grow kit from North Spore is what got me into mycology several years ago. Simple to use, beyond fun to grow, and incredibly rewarding to harvest and enjoy. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family.

Easy to care for and fast. I'm already getting a second flush. We sauted them and ate them with steak.

I absolutely love North spore and this is one of the first spray and grill kits I purchased. Perfect for a beginner easy to follow instructions and multiple fruiting's. I did not use any type of humidity tent I just had the boxes on the table as you can see in the picture although this is in my large laundry room so there is some humidity present. Back to purchase another. Highly highly highly recommend I have sent them as gifts and everyone has been so excited and pleased with their spray and Grow boxes. I will add that the yellow oysters are also probably the best regarding the amount of harvest and also the amount of recruiting's out of the block so it is one of my favorites.
