ShroomTek contains a proprietary blend of sterilized, nutrient-rich, organic manure-based compost, organic grain, coco coir, and several quality substrate supplements (although we keep the exact blend a secret!) Each bag is optimally hydrated for substrate mix and volume to ensure a healthy, well-hydrated environment for optimal mycelial growth.

Bags also include a self-healing injection port for use with a spore or culture syringe plus a 5 micron filter patch to block airborne contaminants while providing even gas exchange. Once inoculated, you can expect your first flush within 30-60 days (depending on species and strain.)

Speed up your grow with Spore Boostr!

Each ShroomTek includes Spore Boostr (5 ml), a nutrient-rich broth that turns slow-growing spores into fast-growing liquid culture. Before inoculating your ShroomTek bag, simply inject some of your spores into Spore Boostr and draw the Spore Boostr liquid back into your syringe and allow them to germinate. After 1-2 weeks, when you see visible mycelium, it’s time to inject!

Inoculation ratio

We recommend using 2.5-5ccs of your favorite spore syringe or liquid culture syringe. (Higher inoculation rates may improve colonization times and mitigate contamination.)

 Storage

ShroomTek All-In-One Mushroom Grow Bags should be stored at room temperature out of direct sunlight. No refrigeration is necessary. They can also be stored for several months before use.

Best Practices

We always recommend clean hands and latex or nitrile gloves to reduce the introduction of contaminants.

It is best practice to wait a minimum of 1 week after arrival before injecting all-in-one grow bags to ensure they were not compromised during transit. Rest assured that your purchase is 100% guaranteed. If your bag was compromised, we will replace it.

More ways to grow

Although the ShroomTek All-In-One Mushroom Grow Bag is designed as a self-contained growing chamber, it can be used in conjunction with other growing chambers such as a monotub or BoomRoom martha tent, should you want fuller control over environmental conditions.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Spore syringe vs. liquid culture syringe

The ShroomTek grow bag works with both spore syringes and liquid culture syringes. However, spore syringe users will not see growth for an additional 1-3 weeks during the germination process without the use of Spore Boostr. This is because liquid culture syringes contain live mycelium whereas spore syringes contain fungal spores that need to become mycelium.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: If you choose to use spore syringe without Spore Boostr

DO NOT shake the bag immediately after inoculation. Doing this may prevent the fungal spores from germinating.

ShroomTek is shelf stable and is viable within the first year after manufacture, and likely longer. However, we have found best success can be achieved if you use it within 30 days of receipt.

I have had a frustrating experience

I have tried ShroomTek twice ... each time the mycellium starts to grow during the colonization phase. When I break up the mycellium clump to distribute it, the mycellium stops growing/expending. The mycellium does not result in fruit.
I use live cultures from myyco.
Frustrated.

I got multiple flushes from of 4 out of the 5 bags so far. For some reason the mycelium was able to climb up the bag and grow on the plastic like vines. A few of the bags actually grew mushrooms off of the side of the plastic bag like that. Even when they were too heavy they just drooped down and rested on the substrate and kept growing off of the little mycelium vines. They were the first ones to grow so maybe this is a good feature, hadn't happened with the brand I used before.
