These individually-wrapped stainless steel scalpel blades are sterile and ready to use. Curved cutting edge is ideal for precision cutting of tissues and other lab specimens. Each blade comes in a vacuum-sealed foil pouch to ensure sterility and to prevent accidental punctures.

#10 scalpel blades can be used with both #3 and #7 scalpel blade handles (found in the North Spore Mycology Lab Instrument Kit.)

Changing your blades:

To avoid accidental cuts, ALWAYS use forceps, needle holders, or other engineering controls when changing or manipulating blades. Cuts from scalpel blades are one of the most common sharps injuries in the lab.

Blade disposal:

Place used blades in a sharps container and dispose of them according to local guidelines.
