This King Trumpet PE1 (Pleurotus eryngii) mushroom strain originates from Japan and produces mushrooms with large stems and small tan caps. It is a reliable commercial strain that is more tolerant of warm temperatures (although it still fruits best in cooler weather.) Yield averages are .75-1.5 lb first flush off of 5 lb supplemented sawdust blocks.
Our liquid culture syringes are ~10ml and come with a sterile 16 gauge needle and alcohol wipe.

I ordered the King Trumpet Liquid Culture Syringe and added it to my grain bags. Within a week the grain bags were solid white and ready for the substrate! I did learn that using tubs is probably not as smart as fruiting blocks when it comes to King Trumpets. We did eat King Trumpets for several weeks. They were delicious!!!!

This mushroom has been kind of daunting but the quality liquid culture provided by north spore has me looking forward to giving it a shot.

This culture worked very well inside a bin using the lasagna method. Unrelated to the actual syringe, there was trouble with Trichoderma. That was caught while still only on the top layer of substrate, as the bin colonized. I killed it with a very light dusting of wood ash then spread another layer of coco coir over that. Afterward, I taped the seams of the bin closed and taped over the FAE FAN until it recovered. The strain recovered shockingly well.

Worked great and colonized my bags super fast. I was able to get 10 8-lb bags with one syringe, using 1 ml per 16 oz jar of rye berries. No issues with contamination with how fast it colonized. Highly recommended.

Used 2cc of Liquid Culture to inoculate a 1 quart jar of sterilized rye berries. Shook the jar for 2 days after then let it sit. Five days later it's almost fully colonized with mycelium! After my current Lions Mane grow I'm going to try growing Kings Trumpet in jars to maximize yield per Sq. Ft. in each of my 70 quart grow tubs.
