I love that I'm getting a different assortment every couple of months. I've had great success, they are in my monotub and they fruit beautifully!

All blocks fruited. Shipping is a little sporadic and the shipping is pricey. Good product.

Overall experience was very good, The Lions Mane had enormous fruiting, and is just now starting it's second. I dried and made powder for tea/coffee. The Oysters were the same, prolific first fruiting, and now on their second, although not as much. I made large batch of schroom soup and dried a bunch. The Shiiakes have not been as cooperative, first fruiting was small, I may have let it dry out too much (didnt have humidity chamber yet) or unwrapped to soon. Ive "reset" the block, and its in the chamber again, hopefully it'll go... over all happy with the results. It's a good hobby, with yummy results!

I want to entend my Mushroom cultivation gradually, but seeing these blocks of mushrooms and how they develop is step one. I get wonderful flushes from these and my cuisine now features a much greater variety of fungi!

Love these mushroom blocks. They fruit quickly. Once I harvest them, I put them back in the fridge for 48 hours and then they fruit again. Great product and great company. If I have any questions, they always respond.

Highly recommend this to anyone starting out. I used this subscription for almost a year and it was perfect for developing my skills with many different types of mushrooms, to prepare me for more difficult projects.

I was not able to get my Fruiting Blocks into my Boomer II for a couple of months, so I placed them in the fridge.
I took my Lions Mane, Italian Oyster, and Shiitake blocks from the fridge and performed the normal preps, as described by NorthSpore helpful links and videos. Into the BoomRoom they went on March 6, the Shiitake block went in the next day after a spank, de-bagged, and a long cold water soak.
March 8, the Oyster block was pinning and the Shiitake was changing.
March 12, the Oyster block and Shiitake are in full development.
The Lions Mane is slower to develop, but small heads are showing.

I just received my boxes. I ordered the beginner and intermediate sub boxes to arrive monthly. Want to keep my new North Spore Boom Room filled to the gills with shroomage

Worked great! I just cut the to of the bags open, put them in my tent and let the blocks do thier thing.

Very easy to read instructions and the blocks look well cultivated, excited to see how many flushes there will be! Got blue and Italian oyster mushroom and Black King

The blocks and the boom room are great. User error has defined my experience so far. I have gotten 3 golden enokis in a row, so the boxes could use some variety from my perspective solely. Im probably going to reduce my subscription in the new year because I don't want the room too crowded. But Im looking forward to stashing the used boxes in the garden and around the house. We really like all the stuff we've got from North Spore. You're always the first name when we talk about our mushroom gardens. We will always be coming to NS. Im real excited about HB4, too. Keep it up. You guys are great. Im sure you guys sell merchandise, but I never get past the mushrooms before I spend more than I want to. Thanks a lot

I love the beginner BlockBox subscription. For me, it’s “set it and forget it” needing little maintenance. It only requires looking in on my monotub once daily to ensure the humidifier is full to see what’s growing! I have had very good results with the fruiting blocks often getting 2-3 flushes per block. With the subscription I can control the shipping dates to work for my schedule.

Only one lions Maine did well. Other two did not do well. Not sure if we will continue. I am sure what we did wrong. I do not recommend because of cost. 1 out of 3 success rate not good.

Great value must buy

I've had a great experience using North Spore's products. I was successfully able to cultivate Shiitake and Lion’s Mane mushrooms, and I'm now starting to see Chestnut mushrooms begin to fruit. The Lion’s Mane and Shiitake are already on their second round of fruiting, which is really exciting. The process has been rewarding and the results have exceeded my expectations.

I received a boom room for Christmas so subscribed to the block box. All have grown. The pink oysters were gorgeous. The lions mane I am on my 4 th flush and the 3rd was the biggest flush. I had a good initial flush from the snow oyster and a small 2nd, same with the blue. Without the Boom room I was unable to grow counter top boxes as it’s so dry here. The boom room is great for growing.
Recommend the block box as a first step to growing your own. You get 3 varieties in each so a good way to try different mushrooms.
