The buried method is the leading approach to growing morels today, the current commercial standard in China and the method used by CERAMYCA and other European growers. In its simplest form the spawn is buried directly in the bed soil, where the surrounding soil buffers temperature swings and makes the grow more forgiving than a surface planting, a strong fit for harsher climates or growers without precise environmental control. That base kit is spawn only, and it grows morels on its own. But the method is designed to be built on: add the ceramic pod system, exogenous nutrient bags, and climate protection like row cover or a tunnel, and it becomes the full commercial technique pioneered by CERAMYCA, much more likely to give morel farmers a reliable, high-yielding grow.
