'Stephen King' trumpet (Pleurotus eryngii) is a reliable commercial strain that originates from Japan and produces large flushes of meaty and delicious mushrooms that are earthy, aromatic, and savory. It is more tolerant of warm temperatures, although it still fruits best in cooler weather. Yield averages are .75-1.5 lb first flush off of 5 lb supplemented sawdust blocks.
Our liquid culture syringes are ~10ml and come sealed in a plastic sleeve with a sterile 16 gauge needle and alcohol wipe.
About liquid culture:
Liquid culture is mycelium suspended in a nutrient-rich medium. Syringes are beginner-friendly and ideal for those looking for an easy way to inoculate grain bags and jars.
Directions for use:
For best results, refrigerate upon receipt. Syringes should be inserted into a self-healing injection port. Always handle using sterile technique and shake thoroughly before use. We recommended inoculation in either a still air box or flow hood to reduce the possibility of contamination. If you plan to re-use your needle, sterilize before and after each subsequent use.

Great Strain
Worked great and colonized my bags super fast. I was able to get 10 8-lb bags with one syringe, using 1 ml per 16 oz jar of rye berries. No issues with contamination with how fast it colonized. Highly recommended.

King Trumpets
I ordered the King Trumpet Liquid Culture Syringe and added it to my grain bags. Within a week the grain bags were solid white and ready for the substrate! I did learn that using tubs is probably not as smart as fruiting blocks when it comes to King Trumpets. We did eat King Trumpets for several weeks. They were delicious!!!!

King trumpet
I have not inoculated yet...soon!
Awesome Liquid Culture!
Used 2cc of Liquid Culture to inoculate a 1 quart jar of sterilized rye berries. Shook the jar for 2 days after then let it sit. Five days later it's almost fully colonized with mycelium! After my current Lions Mane grow I'm going to try growing Kings Trumpet in jars to maximize yield per Sq. Ft. in each of my 70 quart grow tubs. Seems you can't go wrong with any North Spore product! They have incredibly strong and virile cultures and the best customer service in the world!!!!
