Cuts down on using too much aluminum foil!
When I started growing mushrooms, I was told to use aluminum foil and a zip tie to protect grain jars from getting too much moisture in them during sterilization. While it worked, I was always getting holes or finding it awkward to carefully get the zip tie over the foil without tearing, which caused me to use more foil than needed. But then I found these silicone lid covers from North Spore, which are fully reusable and quite durable, so I won't need to replace over and over again. It's a super smart design, and I really appreciate it being offered here.
