Our extensive culture bank gives us the opportunity to create limited-edition organic grain spawns that aren't typically available on our website! All grain spawn is USDA certified organic and made to order. (This page is updated 1-2x a month, as new strains become available.)

Upon receiving your spawn:

Remove it from the shipping box as soon as possible. Then, unfold the top of the bag, making room for air space. It's also important to check and confirm that the filter patch is not obstructed. This will help the organism breathe and continue to thrive!

King Blue Oyster

Pleurotus ostreatus. High-yielding, thick-stemmed "King Blue" from Mossy Creek. King Blue oyster mushrooms are a cross between the blue and king oysters. They bring the beautiful color of the blue oyster, and the large, thick-stem of the king mushroom.

Popham Elm Oyster

Pleurotus ostreatus. Produces highly branched clusters of off-white/tan mushrooms that yield well in both cold and warm temperatures.

Belgium Hen of the Woods

Grifola frondosa. An alternative maitake strain from Belgium and an impressive contender for ease of cultivation for a notoriously difficult species. Fruiting bodies will develop fronds with proper oxygen levels and light.
