Our trio of tools is perfect for any log project that uses sawdust spawn. The trio comes with a standard angle grinder adapter, a 12mm drill bit, and a thumb-press log inoculation tool with ribbed anti-slip handle. (Watch the video below for details on how to use each product!)
*Note: This drill bit with not work with plug spawn. You can find our 8.5mm drill bit for plug spawn here.

Caring for your inoculation tool:
Sawdust spawn residue can build up in your tool, making it feel sticky or causing the plunger to freeze. If this happens, soak in hot soapy water for 30 minutes, then push down on the head of the tool to loosen any debris.
Periodically check the head of the tool to make sure it is not coming unscrewed. The tool can be tightened by using a large flat head screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver into the groove on the tip, hold onto the head and lightly twist the screwdriver until tight.

All the log tools you need!
This tool set made log inoculation a breeze. When you have these tools, all you need next is some sawdust spawn and food grade wax! This is way too easy :)

So helpful
We innoculated 50 logs, and once you're going above 10 logs I think you might regret not having these tools! It makes the process much more enjoyable and relaxed. Our order was missing one of the tools, and Northspore promptly refunded us. Will be buying more spore next summer!

I'm so happy I invested in these tools. Drilling with the angle grinder was so smooth and easy. The quality of the adapter, drill bit, and inoculation tool is top notch. We inoculated about a dozen Stiitake logs and and still have sawdust spawn left over. I will also say when we called in for a few question you guys were very helpful. My son is getting into this for a school project and we are already looking for the next batch of logs. Great Product!!
